Nightcore is simple to describe and surprisingly awkward to make. A media player can play a song faster but will not save the result, and a music app wants a project, plugins and an export dialog for one quick edit. A nightcore maker does the whole job in a browser tab: one click turns the song into its nightcore version, and the file is ready to download. You still hear every change before you save, so the edit sounds the way you want and not the way a fixed preset decided.
A nightcore maker that gives you the classic sound in one click and leaves every control in your hands.
The preset plays the song at 1.25x with the pitch rising along, about 3.9 semitones higher.
A gentler 1.15x for the sped up versions you hear in short videos, about 2.4 semitones higher.
Fine tune the speed in 1% steps, or type the BPM you want and the speed is worked out for you.
Let the pitch rise with the speed for real nightcore, or keep the original key with one switch.
Hear every change while the song plays, loop the drop and flip between the original and your edit.
Export lossless WAV or MP3 at 320, 192 or 128 kbps, with no watermark and nightcore in the file name.
From the original track to a bright, fast edit in under a minute.
Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC or MP4 file of up to 15 minutes into the box above, or try the demo. The Nightcore preset is applied as soon as it loads, and the original key and BPM are shown for you.
Keep the classic 1.25x or move the speed up or down while the song plays. Switch to Sped Up for a lighter feel, or turn on Keep original pitch if the singer should stay in key.
Loop the chorus, flip between the original and the nightcore version, then download WAV or MP3.
For creators, gamers, anime fans, dancers and anyone who likes their music a little faster.
Nightcore takes its name from a Norwegian DJ duo who, in the early 2000s, sped up dance tracks until the vocals sat high and bright over a racing beat. The recipe has not changed: speed and pitch move up together, as if a record were spinning too fast. The preset plays the song at 1.25x in that vinyl mode, which lifts the pitch by about 3.9 semitones and turns a 120 BPM track into a 150 BPM nightcore version. The nightcore studio on top of the tool offers four levels, Light at 1.15x, Classic at 1.25x, Hyper at 1.35x and Extreme at 1.5x. It is a nightcore maker and a nightcore creator in one, and every setting stays adjustable after the click.
Try the PresetNot every sped up edit wants the full chipmunk shine. The Sped Up preset runs at a gentler 1.15x, and the Keep original pitch switch lets the tempo rise while every note stays in the original key, the sound many creators use for trends and reels. That makes this page a sped up maker for both styles: bright and pitched up, or simply faster. Need an exact tempo for a routine or a mix? Type the target BPM, or open the BPM changer for tempo work.
Make a Sped Up VersionThere is no nightcore application to download: this nightcore maker runs the whole edit in your browser, on a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone. Convert MP3 to nightcore, or start from a WAV, M4A, FLAC or the soundtrack of an MP4 video. Your music is processed on your own device and never uploaded, so making nightcore online is as private as editing offline, and as fast as opening a page.
Start in the BrowserGo beyond the preset when a song asks for it. Push the nightcore version to 1.35x for a frantic edit or pull it back to 1.1x for a subtle lift, add a little reverb for a dreamier take, and loop a section while you listen. Want the opposite mood? The slowed reverb generator runs the same controls the other way, and the pitch changer moves the key without touching the speed.
Fine Tune My EditSet the original tempo and the speed to see the new BPM, the new length and how far the pitch rises in the nightcore version. Then hear a melody before and after.
In vinyl mode the pitch rises by 12 times the base 2 logarithm of the speed: 1.25x adds about 3.9 semitones, 1.15x about 2.4. A 120 BPM song at 1.25x plays at 150 BPM, and a 3:30 track becomes 2:48. The nightcore maker above shows the same numbers for your own song.
What each setting in the nightcore creator does to the pitch and the feel of a song.
| Nightcore, Sped Up and Daycore Compared | Speed | Pitch | Feel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nightcore | 1.25x | About +3.9 semitones | Bright, energetic, high vocals |
| Sped Up | 1.15x | About +2.4 semitones | Lively but still natural |
| Hyper nightcore | 1.35x | About +5.2 semitones | Frantic, best on dance tracks |
| Extreme nightcore | 1.5x | About +7.0 semitones | Very high and fast, for short clips |
| Sped up, same key | 1.15x, original pitch | No change | Faster without the high voice |
| Daycore | 0.85x | About -2.8 semitones | Calm, warm, light reverb |
| Slowed + Reverb | 0.8x | About -3.9 semitones | Deep, dreamy, big reverb |

Quick answers about making nightcore and sped up versions of songs.
Nightcore is a style of edit where a song plays faster and higher at the same time, as if a record were spun too fast. Most edits sit around 1.2x to 1.3x speed.
Drop the song into the nightcore maker above and the preset is applied right away. Adjust the speed if you like, compare it with the original, then download WAV or MP3.
The preset uses 1.25x, which raises the pitch by about 3.9 semitones. Go to Hyper at 1.35x or Extreme at 1.5x for a faster edit, or Light at 1.15x for a gentler sped up sound.
Nightcore raises the pitch along with the speed and usually goes faster. Sped up edits are often gentler, and some keep the original key, which the sped up maker does with Keep original pitch.
Daycore is the opposite: the song plays slower and lower. For the slow, dreamy version, use the slowed reverb generator.
Yes. Turn on Keep original pitch and the song gets faster while every note stays in its key, so the voice does not go high.
No. This is nightcore online: the nightcore maker runs in your browser on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Android or iPhone, with nothing to install or update.
Yes. MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC and the audio in MP4 files your browser can open all work, up to 200 MB and 15 minutes. Downloads are WAV or MP3 in three sizes.
Yes. Switch on the reverb and set the mix and the room size, from a small room to a large hall. Most nightcore edits use little or none, but a touch can make sped up audio sound fuller and smooth over a harsh recording.
Not yet. Save the audio of a song you have the rights to use, then drop the file into the box above.
Yes, the nightcore maker is free with no sign-in, watermark or download limit, and your songs are processed in your browser, never uploaded.
A nightcore version is still the original artist’s song, so you need the rights or permission to publish it. Platforms often offer licensed sounds in their own music library; check their rules before you upload.
